We’re excited to help your team stay on top of alerts, on-call schedules, and incident response — all without leaving Slack.

Parny Bot is built to fit seamlessly into your workflow so you can stay focused during critical moments and respond faster.

How to Install

  • Once you log in to your Parny account, you can go to your Organization Management Settings by clicking the settings button at the bottom left.

  • Then, go to your Slackbot interface by clicking the Slackbot title at the top bar.

  • Once you arrive on that page, just click the Install Slackbot button.

  • After installing the Parny Slackbot, you will receive a welcome message from the bot.





Get Started

  • To get started, you can explore a quick walkthrough by typing /parny tutorial.

→ This will guide you through our 5-minute tutorial (highly recommended).

  • Alternatively, you can customize your team’s and organization-based notification preferences with /parny notifications. (You can also configure these settings in the Slackbot Settings section of the Portal, in the same place where you installed the Slackbot.)

→ In these settings, you can choose which notification types should go to a specific channel. If you don’t have a dedicated channel, Parny Slackbot can create and configure one for you.

It also works seamlessly with Parny Portal to accelerate response times.

🚨 Alert Management

You can instantly update alert statuses (acknowledge, resolve, close, snooze, reopen), reassign alerts to the right teammate, or escalate critical alerts to upper level members automatically. Real-time notifications keep everyone in sync.

Alert management is team-based — for each team you can set a dedicated channel. Remember, you can also assign multiple teams to the same channel if you prefer. Once configured, your alerts will automatically flow into Slack.








In addition to receiving the normal alert stream in your Slack workspace, you can use the following commands to take different actions on the latest alert:

  • Change an alert status with /parny alert status

  • Reassign an alert with /parny alert reassign

  • Escalate an alert with /parny alert escalate


☎️ On-Call Management

Stay in control of your team’s on-call schedules by checking who is on duty, reviewing daily rotations, or receiving automated updates about schedule changes.

  • Check a specific team’s on-call with /parny oncall <team_name>

  • List all on-call users with /parny oncall all

In addition to these on-call actions, you can also set up daily on-call schedule notifications at any hour you prefer through the Parny Slackbot notification settings. These updates will be delivered directly to the channel you select.

On-call management is also team-based, just like alert management. When you set a schedule or use on-call commands, you can do so through the same channel or across multiple channels. Remember, to apply on-call commands to a specific team, you must first enable notifications for that team.











🧯 Incident Response
When alerts escalate into incidents, Parny Bot helps you open, edit, and close them with full documentation and proper tracking so your team can stay organized.

  • Open a new incident with /parny incident open

  • Edit incident details with /parny incident edit

  • Close incidents with /parny incident close

Unlike alert and on-call management, incident management is organization-based. If notifications are enabled, a new channel is automatically created for every incident in that organization, and users are directed there. All incident-related actions on Slack are then managed through this channel.

Additionally, to create an incident directly from a new alert, simply click the 🧯 Open Incident button included in the Slack alert message.
