Dynatrace
Parny | Dynatrace Integration Guide
Parny supports direct integration with Dynatrace alerts. Dynatrace is a network and system monitoring tool that can create alarms to detect and prevent potential problems. This documentation explains how to redirect alarms created in Dynatrace to a webhook using Parny.
Parny Settings
Go to the Parny interface.
Navigate to the "Services" section of your organization.
Click on the "New Services" option in the upper right corner.
Enter the relevant service name.
Service Name Usage: The service name here is independent of the structure and can be chosen according to the preferences of the organization.
Select Dynatrace from the list of integrations.
Click "Add".
After the service is created, the following screen will appear.
You can now click on the token section of your service and copy your Dynatrace Webhook URL.
Dynatrace Settings
This section discusses an "Adding Alert Notification" and "Redirecting Alarms".
Step 1: Adding Alert Notification
To add an alert notification, go to Settings > Integration > Problem notifications from the left menu.
Then, the integration is added by selecting the Add Notification option. Here, the webhook address of the service that we copied from the Parny panel and prepared for Dynatrace is pasted.
Now our Parny Webhook is ready for the alert. We can set the structure to redirect alarms here.
Step 2: Redirecting Alarms
As can be seen in the screenshot, a sample custom payload definition has been made. Here you can customize and change placeholders that Dynatrace supports.
To perform this operation, you can utilize the following code snippet:
Note: If a parameter named
"alert_state"
is added and assigned the value"RESOLVED"
, alarms will be received as resolved.
With these settings, your Dynatrace alarms will be forwarded to Parny, allowing you to manage them alongside your other alerts within your organization's Parny interface.
