Parny | SolarWinds Integration Guide

Parny supports direct integration with Solarwinds alerts. Solarwinds is a network and system monitoring tool that can create alarms to detect and prevent potential problems. This documentation explains how to redirect alarms created in Solarwinds to a webhook using Parny.


Parny Settings


  1. Go to the Parny interface.

  2. Navigate to the "Services" section of your organization.

  3. Click on the "New Services" option in the upper right corner.

  4. Enter the relevant service name.

Service Name Usage: The service name here is independent of the structure and can be chosen according to the preferences of the organization.


  1. Select Solarwinds from the list of integrations.

  2. Click "Add".

  3. After the service is created, the following screen will appear.

  • You can now click on the token section of your service and copy your SolarWinds Webhook URL.


SolarWinds Configuration


In this section, we will guide you through "Adding Webhook".


Adding Webhook


  1. In order to add a Webhook on Solarwinds , click the "CREATE ALERT" button under "Alerts > Active Alerts TAB".


  1. Then click the "Create Alert" button.

  1. Then type the alert "name", "Description(Optional)" and choose alert "Severity".

  1. After this step, Alert's "Condition type" should be choosen as either Metric condition or Logs condition.

  1. When "Metric" condition is choosed, condition is defined by choosing the entity or metric group.


  1. Here is the examples of the entity and Metric groups are selected. "Metric name", "Trigger metric" situations and "Duration" should be selected as follows in both situation. But the difference is "Entity type". This field should be selected on the Metric-Entity condition.

  1. When "Logs" condition is choosed, "Trigger on following query" field should be typed to trigger the system. Then the "number of logs" is selected for defining a trigger situation of number of logs.

  1. In the next step, select the "notification service" and "configuration".


  1. Notification service should be choosen as "webhook" and, the configuration should be added if it exists or can be created by clicking the "Add New Configuration" button.

  1. Method should be POST and the URL is the service token which is taken from the Parny Service page.


  2. Now, a notification test can be sent and configuration can be created.


  3. In the next step click the "CREATE" button.


With these settings, your SolarWinds alarms will be forwarded to Parny, allowing you to manage them alongside your other alerts within your organization's Parny interface.
