Parny | IBM Instana Integration Guide
Parny supports direct integration with IBM Instana alerts. IBM Instana is a network and system monitoring tool that can create alarms to detect and prevent potential problems. This documentation explains how to redirect alarms created in IBM Instana to a webhook using Parny.
Parny Settings
Go to the Parny interface.
Navigate to the "Services" section of your organization.
Click on the "New Services" option in the upper right corner.
Enter the relevant service name.
Service Name Usage: The service name here is independent of the structure and can be chosen according to the preferences of the organization.
Select IBM Instana from the list of integrations.
Click "Add".
After the service is created, the following screen will appear.

You can now click on the token section of your service and copy your IBM Instana Webhook URL.
Instana Configuration
In this section, we will guide you through "Adding Alert Notification" and "Redirecting Alarms".
Step 1: Alertmanager Settings
To create an alert channel in IBM Instana, you can access the relevant interface through any alarm configuration. After accessing the interface, click on the Smart Alerts tab.

Then click on the Edit option shown in the image below.

In the next step, in the newly opened window, click on the "Alert Channels" option located on the right side.

After that, click on the "Create Alert Channel" button located in the upper-right corner.

When you reach the Create Alert Channel page, first select "Prometheus Alertmanager Webhook" as the "Alert Channel Type". Then, enter the name of your webhook in the "Name" field and enter the Webhook URL you previously created on the Parny Portal in the "Prometheus Alertmanager Webhook Receiver URL" field. After that, you can click the "Create Alert Channel" button.

Next, in the newly opened tab, click on the "Add 1 Channel" tab.

With these settings, your Instana alarms will be forwarded to Parny, allowing you to manage them alongside your other alerts within your organization's Parny interface.
